Asst. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Nadir KURNAZ, one of our faculty members, was honored with a Certificate of Appreciation for his valuable contributions within the scope of the educational cooperation carried out with the Turkish Armed Forces.

Academic Contribution to Cyber Security Awareness

Within the framework of the educational cooperation protocol between Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University and the Land Forces 21st Main Supply Center Command (Bor/Niğde), a conference was held on March 31, 2026, for the personnel of the Martyr Colonel Nuri Pamir Barracks.

Asst. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Nadir KURNAZ, who shared his knowledge on "Cyber Security" with the military personnel, played an important role in:

• Increasing the awareness of the Turkish Armed Forces personnel against cyber threats,

• Comprehending digital security strategies at the institutional level,

• Strengthening information transfer between academia and military institutions.

Appreciation and Recognition

At the ceremony held after the conference, a certificate of appreciation was presented to Asst. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Nadir KURNAZ by Garrison Commander Colonel Özcan YETİŞ. Drawing attention to the importance of the academic support provided for the development of cyber security awareness among the Turkish Armed Forces personnel, Colonel YETİŞ emphasized their satisfaction with Asst. Prof. Dr. KURNAZ's valuable contributions in his field of expertise.
