Course Objective
The aim is to explain the basic principles of nutrition before, during, and after training or competition, to understand nutrition practices aimed at improving performance, body image, and eating disorders.
Brief Content of the Course
This course; Definition of Nutrition in Sports and Exercise, Who is a Sports Dietitian? Energy metabolism in exercise and sport, Energy sources in athlete diets, Other nutritional sources in athlete diets, Performance nutrition, Evaluation of nutritional status of athletes, Training and nutrition, The importance of overtraining and nutrition in sports, Nutrition during competition or match periods, Nutrition during the recovery period after competition or match, Immune system and nutrition in sports, Effects of different environmental and living conditions on performance in athletes and nutritional strategies, Eating disorders and body perception in athletes, Dietary Supports in Athletes.
