Course Objective
The aim of the course is to provide designer candidates with the basic knowledge and skills in designing products and producing their designs, and to encourage them to think about design and production techniques such as sustainable resource use, recycling, upcycling and zero waste.
Brief Content of the Course
Definition of fashion design, importance of fashion, features and process of fashion product: drawing, pattern making, cutting, production, quality control and marketing, machinery and tools used in fashion design, basic sewing exercises, sustainable resource use, recycling, upcycling, zero waste, environmental impacts of clothing production, ethics in clothing production conditions.
